Description

Chief Operating Officer

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will you will report directly to the President & CEO and provide oversight, coordination, and leadership of the company's operations, for the safe and efficient operation of Transwest Air overall. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role will focus on the strategic oversight of the ongoing, day-to-day management of operations, striving for operational excellence, while maintaining a strong customer and employee focus and a culture of safety and continuous improvement.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Foster and develop collaboration between departments and other internal groups to ensure an integrated approach to operations thereby fulfilling the organization's strategic plan, goals and objectives. Includes key information transfer and reporting with the respect to operations, human resources, cost management, etc.
    Motivate and lead a high performance team; attract, recruit, retain skilled individuals who are a fit to Transwest Air; while providing mentoring.
    Overall responsibility and management of the company's budgets. Implements and oversees cost control measures to manage profit and loss.
    Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
    Ensure appropriate audit mechanisms are in place to effectively monitor quality service delivery, in compliance with current Company policies and procedures, and Government regulations.
    Provides guidance and direction to direct reports regarding staffing and equipment requirements.
