The IT Technical Analyst is responsible for maintaining and supporting the computer systems and related infrastructure of the PECC and the Branch as well as to provide support to other major initiatives of Emergency Management and Fire Safety and the Ministry of Government Relations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Technical Analyst will:
Assist in the support and maintenance of the PECC computing systems and infrastructure technologies, ensuring that current policies in place match operational guidelines.
Be an effective second level technical support resource for the Branch.
Maintain software and hardware updates for the various PCs, servers, storage and network devices.
Repair PC, server and printer hardware as needed.
Implement and deploy new systems or software to the environment.
Create, update and provide documentation when needed.
Maintain safe work areas; organizing and managing space effectively.
Aid other team members in the management and implementation of small to medium size projects.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK
Monitor for Quality
Write technical documentation on existing systems
Support server and network environment, support end user computing environment.
Manage Directory Services objects
Deploy updates to OS, system firmware and other enterprise wide applications.
Troubleshoot enterprise software issues
Support other IT work units with their Technology or Infrastructure requirements
HOURS OF WORK
The IT Technical Analyst works Monday to Friday, and makes his/herself available as necessary to fulfill their mandate. They will also participate in the after hours on call rotation.
The IT Technical Analyst may be required to work outside regular business hours to attend staff meetings, emergencies or other functions as required and or directed by his/her supervisor.
Candidates must have
