Thunderchild Health is seeking a .5 FTE Home Care Nurse (RN) to work under the general supervision of the Health Director and FNHIB Home Care Supervisor. She/he uses her/his nursing/teaching skills to effectively assist the Home & Community Care clients to attain their optimum level of independent functioning.
HCC supports the delivery of basic home care services which are typically offered between 9 a.m. & 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. These essential services include: a structured client assessment process; case management; home care nursing services; home support & personal care; in-home respite; established linkages with other professional & social services; access to specialized medical equipment, supplies & specialized pharmaceuticals; a system of record keeping & data collection; and program management & supervision.
He/she shall adhere to established policies & procedures as set out in the Thunderchild First Nation acts & policies & Health Care Home Care Nursing Manual.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Must be registered or eligible for registration in the SK Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience working in a First Nations Community is an asset
Maintain a valid SK driver's license
Demonstrate oral & written communication skills
Demonstate supervisory, leadership, managerial & computer skills
