Description

SUMMARY
Maintain the customer service and checkout area for prompt and accurate processing of the customers order.  Merchandise the sales area of the store in accordance with operational standards.
Shifts may be primarily cashier and or merchandising or a combination of both.
Open availability is preferred.  
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
Maintain a neat and organized customer service and checkout area
Accurately scan or enter product data.
Promotes and cross sells photo finishing and photography products in On Site Processing.
Accurately account for cash, coupon and credit receipts, lottery, and Optimum points.
Asks for customers Shoppers Optimum Card during each transaction.
Answers enquiries regarding location of product, rain checks, refunds, Optimum.
Merchandising
Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods.
Complete merchandising tasks as directed. Maintains efficient flow of merchandise from stock room to assigned selling area
Merchandises and maintains designated areas (ie: shelf allocations, face up, signing, ticketing, etc).
Maintains standards of housekeeping.
Advises appropriate person about stock outs/shortages.
Performs stock counts and orders for designated areas.
Attend training courses as deemed necessary or beneficial.
Loss Prevention
Ensures loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to guidelines.
Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory in accordance with prescribed cash handling policies and procedures.
Maintains proper security of cash and merchandise.
Presents proper image to the public (appearance, uniform, name badge).
Comply with all health and safety regulations.
General
Comply with all health and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as required
Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained.
