Cognitive Disability Strategy Intake Coordinator; Saskatoon Region
Full Time Position: 37.5 hours a week (this provides for an earned day off every third week)
Anticipated Start: October 1, 2017
The Cognitive Disability Strategy works under the host agency of The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living. It is based on the best practices model of integrated team planning in supporting people who have a cognitive disability.
Primary Roles of Position
-Act as initial point of contact for the Cognitive Disability Strategy and directing as appropriate.
-Create, maintain and update mailing and database systems.
-Maintain statistical database.
-Complete administrative duties for CDS including photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, etc.
-Create agenda for the intake committee meetings and ensure distribution of appropriate material to committee members.
-Prepare correspondence as it relates to Cognitive Disability Strategy funding applications
-Attend intake committee meetings, record outcomes and ensure follow-up on action items.
-Participate on committees as requested.
Requirements/Qualifications:
-Training in the field of administration; Human Services experience and/or training is an asset.
-Knowledge of computers, relevant computer programs and other office equipment.
-Proficiency in typing and word programs such as excel.
-Effective written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
-Ability to organize and prioritize work.
-Ability to work independently, self-motivated and self-directed.
-Understanding of multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary approaches.
-Working knowledge of community resources and program development would be an asset.
-Awareness of the issues surrounding individuals with cognitive disabilities.
-Must be bondable.
