This Maintenance position is a permanent full time, we are looking for someone that is reliable and able to work with seniors. Starting at 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, wage to be negotiated based on experience. The Maintenance position entails maintaining buildings and grounds including but not limited to minor plumbing, heating and electrical. Experience with painting and dry walling an asset; Fireman's certificate an asset. Must have good oral and written skills, Criminal record check will be required for individual hired to this position.
Specific Maintenance Activities
Work with minimal supervision
Work in a team environment with other maintenance staff
A strong ability to multitask
Paint, Repair drywall
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on electrical systems
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems
Troubleshoot and perform outside duties i.e. cut grass, trim hedges, watering, snow removal, ice removal, etc.
Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs
Perform monthly, semiannual and annual maintenance jobs
Equipment Operated/Used
Snow blowers
Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments)
Floor waxing machines
Carpet cleaning machines
Industrial power sweepers
Power tools
