Supervises the operations of the maintenance, environmental, and laundry departments. Maintains facility/plant systems and equipment. Independently performs repairs/installations on a wide variety of building systems and equipment that do not require plumbing or electrical permit/contractors. Arranges for contractors as required.
- Supervises, prioritizes workload, and schedules staff.
- Provides input into and ensures compliance with policies, procedures and objectives.
- Provides input into budget preparation and is responsible to stay within budget limits.
- Coordinates and verifies contracted service agreements.
- Provides input into equipment selection and maintenance/cleaning/laundry products.
- Coordinates orientation, education and training for staff and students.
- Responsible to complete performance appraisals and performance reviews.
- Conducts routine inspections to ensure standards are being maintained and completes applicable reports.
- Plans and implements overall maintenance/environmental/laundry programs.
- Maintains inventory.
- Reports any unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns.
- Secures areas.
- Monitors and ensures that facility systems are operational at all times (HVAC, fire, call, emergency power, etc.)
- Monitors critical alarm systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs that do not require a contractor.
- Perform interior and exterior building repairs that do not require a contractor.
- Arranges for contractors as required.
- Ensure parking area and grounds are maintained seasonally.
- Responsible for purchasing supplies for maintenance, environmental, and laundry services.
- Negotiate bulk purchasing.
- Resolve issues (damaged goods, etc.)
