The City of Moose Jaw is seeking an energetic individual to serve as Clerk-Steno in our Department of Engineering Services. Under the direction of the Director of Engineering Services, the Clerk-Steno is responsible to perform administrative, secretarial and clerical functions related the Department of Engineering Services, as well as take and transcribe dictation; layout and type memoranda, reports, forms and other correspondence; receive visitors to the office, ascertain the nature of inquiry and direct to the appropriate person, or provide necessary information; answer telephone and two-way radio calls and maintain a departmental filing system.  If you have the following qualifications, this opportunity will be of interest to you:

-    1 year recognized program in office administration
-    1 year experience in a senior administrative/secretarial position
-    Accurate typing skills at 55 words per minute
-    Strong clerical and organizational skills
-    Working knowledge of computer software packages
-    Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
