Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

La Ronge, SK


Transwest Air is currently looking for Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join its Maintenance team in La Ronge.

Under direct and indirect supervision, the apprentice shall complete day-to-day aircraft maintenance assignments as provided by the Crew Chief / Base manager.  All work shall be completed in accordance with Transport Canada and Transwest Air standards. As experience levels dictate the apprentice may mentor and guide less experienced apprentices.


Responsibilities:

    Work a variety of scheduled shifts as assigned to accommodate maintenance requirements
    Report to the Production Manager to receive all work assignments
    Complete each task and associated maintenance documentation in an appropriate, safe, and timely manner
    Maintain close communication with senior maintenance personnel to ensure that mandated job processes and methodologies are understood and adhered to
    Assist in keeping the maintenance office, hangar, and shop areas clean and ensure equipment is appropriately stored / returned after tasks are completed
    Ensure a safe workplace
    Must complete aircraft refuelling and dangerous goods training
    Duties will also include hangar cleaning and garbage removal as set forth by the base manager



Requirements:

    High School diploma
    Transport Canada recognized diploma in Aviation Maintenance
    Must have started an apprenticeship or plan on signing into one
