The City of Flin Flon, Town of Creighton and Village of Denare Beach invite applications to fill the position of
REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
POSITION PURPOSE: The Economic Development Officer (EDO) will be a full-time position located in the region, and will be responsible for facilitating, promoting and ensuring community and economic development in order to secure opportunities for economic and business development and increase local employment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Post-secondary degree in Economics, Commerce, Public Administration or a related field.
2. Certification in Economic Development would be considered an asset.
3. Preferred five plus years' experience in an Economic Development role.
4. Previous experience in a municipal environment is an asset.
5. Ability to market the local area to attract investors, residents and visitors.
6. A strong understanding of economic conditions and trends with northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan regions.
7. A business-specific portion of your curriculum vitae including not just terms of employment but previous successful initiatives would be of great value.
