Hours of Work: Part-Time 6:45am-9:00am and/or 3:30pm-6:00pm. School days only, closed all stat and non-student days.
Length of Employment: Contract September 2017-June 2018 with the possibility of summer employment.
We are seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children at our Before & After school program at Elsie Mironuck Elementary School for the 2017-18 school year! Educators will be responsible for the development and safety of the children, as well as providing high-quality learning experiences.
Responsibilities
-Consistently demonstrate positive interaction
with all children; talk to them and treat them
with dignity and respect.
-Prepare and serve nutritious snacks
-Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high
energy environment
-Provide a safe environment for all children
-Provide supervision and guidance of daily
activities, excursions and special activities.
-Provide programming for children following the
play and exploration principles.
-Work well in a team
-Build positive relationships with parents and
children
-Be punctual and reliable
-Prepare and serve nutritional snacks
-Have a positive attitude
Qualifications
-Post-secondary education in a related field
(Early childhood Education, Social work,
education, etc.)
-Good written and verbal communication skills
-Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector
check
-Standard First Aid/CPR
