Superintendent of Education

Northern Lights School Division #113 requires a qualified Superintendent of Education with experience in school administration.  Reporting to the Director of Education, he or she will be a member of the school divisions administrative leadership team of directors, superintendents and principals.

The successful candidate will possess:

    demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the area of program and evaluation, personnel supervision and curriculum support to assigned schools;
    a strong background in assessment as it pertains to literacy and numeracy is a priority requirement;
    post-graduate course work in either Curriculum and Instruction or in Educational Administration;
    eligibility for LEADS membership;
    several years experience of successful administration at the school level;
    ability to travel extensively in fulfilling duties
