We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator at our Martensville, SK facility.
Responsibilities:
Operates milling systems. Performs product testing, making appropriate adjustments to meet specifications.
Monitors all equipment for wear and potential damage, performs minor repairs as required.
Assists with maintenance repairs, scheduled cleaning of equipment ensuring all areas of the mill and grounds.
Provides sanitation services in the mill, performing cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the mill and grounds.
Proven analytical/problem solving skills, identifies and reports problems and issues.
Remains current on good manufacturing practices, food safety and defense programs relating manufacturing of all oats products and attends required safety training.
Actively engages team in activities to meet targets, safety, yield, quality and production.
Work within established regulations and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Works as a team and regularly communicates with the Shift Lead and Head Miller.
Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.
Maintain good attendance and meet performance expectations.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Ability to read and write English
Basic computer skills
Excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skills
Willing to work shifts and overtime including weekends
Must be able to work independently and be accountable for all hours
Excellent interpersonal skills and team work ability
