RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Prep/Kitchen Utility Worker assists and works in all areas of the kitchen and dining room.
- Provides a high level of customer service and promotes a restaurant style dining atmosphere.
- Maintains kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
- Ensures that food is properly prepared and stored.
- Assists in dining room cleaning, bussing tables, setting tables, and assisting wait staff.
- Adheres to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Dishwashing Skills
- Scour pots and pans
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
- Operate pot-washing machines
- Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
