Customer service is to be recognized as the number one priority for all Leisure Services Department staff. Due to the diverse nature of the Leisure Services Dept. operation, all staff are expected to show flexibility and initiative. All Leisure Services Dept. staff are expected to exercise independence of judgment and initiative at all times
FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Food Services Manager, the Senior Food Services Clerk shall be responsible for assisting in all aspects of service within the Food Services Department
DUTIES:
- To assume the day to day duties within the Concession during those times the Food Services Manager is absent from the facility
- Responsible on a part-time basis for the operation and maintenance of the Uniplex Kitchen as it applies, including all equipment
- Must have full knowledge of duties performed with the School Lunch Program, the catering program and the concession evening and weekend shifts
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Good public relation skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the public is a necessity
- Able to work day shifts, evening and weekend shifts and split shifts when necessary
- Preference will go to those holding a Red Seal Certification or equivalent experience
- Must hold a valid Class 5" drivers license
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level B Certificates and completion of a Food Safety Course
- Must be able work independently and make decisions in absence of the Food Services Manager
HOURS:
Your hours will vary week to week, working days, evenings, weekends and split shifts when required
PAY PERIOD AND RATE: The Senior Food Services Clerk wage is set by CUPE Wage Scale which is $17.50/hr
