Yardi Canada is looking for a skilled QA Specialist to join our team in Saskatoon, SK building a web application that has a very real impact on global energy conservation. As a QA Specialist, you will:
Work directly with the development team to evaluate and test enhancements and new features using systematic exploratory and automated testing
Help improve and enhance system functionality, reliability, performance and scalability
Work with the Scrum Master to help build out acceptance criteria for stories
Execute manual test cases to verify that development stories meet all required acceptance criteria
Contribute to the full software development life cycle
Identify common issues and contribute to process improvements
Make suggestions on improving ease of use and software quality
Perform release verification testing
Our ideal candidate has:
Strong ability to identify problem areas and understand how users may break the software
Experience with manual exploratory testing
Experience with Selenium
Experience writing test scripts in Python
Proven analytical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
General knowledge of enterprise web application architecture, you should understand how the software youre testing works.
Bonus marks for:
Exposure to testing products that have been developed in JavaScript, .NET, and Java
Two to five years of experience in web-based software and/or quality assurance with working knowledge of a variety of quality testing tools and systems such as Selenium, Watir, NUnit, QUnit, JUnit, Cucumber, or Robot Framework
