Job Duties:
-Liaison between families and service providers to ensure that the needs of those in crisis are handled in a healthy, holistic manner to ensure the mental well-being of those impacted by crisis and network with outlying community service providers, work with local service providers to work with community's unique needs
-Gather information and work with each community in the region (northern Saskatchewan) to set up community action plans, unique services, shared services and regional services
-Liaison with services in the Action Plans for development of procedures for different emergency scenarios (missing person-urban/rural/bush, suicide intervention, trauma and crisis intervention to communities needing specialized training based on needs assessment.
-facilitate community group meetings with local community service providers to complete needs assessments for each community and review services already set up in each community
-compile information gathered from community meetings, assess common needs, set up programming/training sessions for issues arising, dependent on situation, training will be facilitated by the crisis intervention worker
-develop Action Plans with community agencies and members to aid in crisis situations that may arise, if Action Plans are already developed, work with the community in reviewing any other issues that may need an Action Plan.-conducting Community/Group presentations to La Ronge Area and Northern Communities when required

-ability to make quick assessments of crisis situations and to implement intervention plans
-must be able to cope with stress
-must be able to work independently
-must be able to pass a criminal record check and vulnerability check
-must be able to do written and statistics reports
-must be willing to carry a cell phone
-must be able to travel in small aircrafts
-Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
