The Company
Mainstreet Equity Corporation manages its own portfolio of over 10,000 residential apartments in five major cities across Canada.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Patrol assigned area on foot, on bicycle, or in motor vehicle, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security
Control the access to the buildings, protecting the property and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
Ensure that the buildings Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed in response to Fire Alarms and other Site emergencies
Watch for and report irregularities and emergency situations; and contact emergency responders
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR or AED support as necessary
Assist tenants with specific problems, such as safety concerns, illness or emergencies, etc.
Inspect fire equipment on a daily basis.
Prepare written reports using the Companys standard report-writing program
Support of JH&S program to ensure occupational safety is prioritized and effectively practiced throughout all areas of property operations
Perform other duties as assigned by the senior management
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Completion of secondary school
Valid Provincial Security Guard license
Having 1- 2 years of security experience in a residential security environment will be an asset
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook will be an asset
Must be at least 22 years of age, possess a valid drivers license and produce a clean drivers abstract
Must have the availability to work all days of the week and schedules that consist of days, afternoons and overnight shifts
Ability to operate Security Control Centre equipment/systems; computers; radios/walkie-talkie sets; and phones (including Blackberry)
