Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ

Is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for youth at risk in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

This position is within EGADZ Youth Centre for the Drop-In component. The goal of the Level I Basketball project is to introduce at risk youth, aged 12-18, to the sport of basketball to encourage a plan on a regular basis. The project will work on building confidence and introducing basic skills to the youth to increase their likelihood of participating in community basketball on their own.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both.

Basketball Coaching experience (Asset)

Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, partnering agencies.

Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form.

Working knowledge of computers/windows.

Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and issues.
Must have a valid drivers license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver's Abstract is Required (Within 3 Months).
