Description

The City of Moose Jaw is seeking an individual to serve as our Help Desk Technician. Under the direction of the Assistant Manager of Information Technology, the Help Desk Technician is responsible for first level support of all hardware, software and a wide variety of computer systems and applications. The Help Desk Technician is also responsible to diagnose and resolve requests for technical assistance; receive, log and prioritize trouble tickets received by users and update documentation and equipment inventory. If you have the following qualifications, this opportunity will be of interest to you:
-    Completion of a relevant post-secondary certificate or completion of the first year of a recognized 2 year post-secondary diploma program in Computer Engineering or Business Information Systems or equivalent
-    Minimum of 1 year experience repairing and maintaining personal computers
-    Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
-    Valid Class 5 driver's license and personal vehicle for work use.
-    Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in resolving complex problems efficiently and effectively under pressure
-    Effective verbal and written communication skills
-    CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundations certification would be considered an asset
