Love and Laughter Early Learning Centre is a licensed 25-space no-profit child care centre, based in Spiritwood Saskatchewan, who owes much of its success to its enthusiastic and compassionate team of employees and parents.
Love and Laughter is currently seeking a highly motivated person for the position of a permanent full-time Director. The Director will report to the Board of Directors and will manage the child care services according to The Child Care Act and The Child Care Regulations 2014.
This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions:
Perform administrative duties and record keeping
Manage approximately 5 permanent staff
Act as a liaison between the center, board, staff and parents
Assisting with housekeeping duties
Maintain daycare supplies and equipment
Assess the developmental level of children
Plan and develop day-to-day activities
Prepare progress reports and discuss with staff and parents
Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities
Ensure the delivery of quality licensed childcare center
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Ability to multi task while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to problem solve and make decisions
Team building skills with an emphasis on collaboration, communication and coordination
First aid/CPR training or willing to obtain
Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search prior to start date
Two year diploma in Early Childcare Education or be willing to obtain education through distance learning (Course are available online and tuition is reimbursed by government grant after successful completion of course(s).)
Wage range is 18.00-$20.00/hour and is based on candidates qualifications and experience. Salary is in accordance with the Saskatchewan learning and Childcare Tier two averages.
