This position coordinates and manages the services of CoSA Prince Albert.
CoSA establishes Circles of support and accountability for persons who have offended sexually/violently and spent considerable time incarcerated and are returning to the community. Each circle is comprised of a core member, the high-risk released sex offender, and 3-5 community volunteers who have the skill set and passion to work with this population. CoSA circles meet on a regular basis. A range of topics and activities are covered in the circle, with the focus being on keeping the offender accountable and providing support for both their basic and emotional needs.
Responsibility of this position includes selecting core members, recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers and Circles, fundraising and providing all the services necessary for the successful operation of the CoSA. Persons with human service education and experience including management experience are eligible for this position. A minimum of a degree in human services and 3-5 years experience is expected. Knowledge, commitment to and experience in restorative justice is important.
