Loraas Landfill is looking to fill the position of General Labourer/Scale Attendant. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, who has a willingness to learn to skills and develop within a growing local company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
General duties around the Landfill, including building, shop, yard, and equipment upkeep and cleaning.
Light equipment operation for special projects and/or general landfill operations.
Assist with scale operation, general paperwork, and cash handling where additional assistance is required.
Ensure Loraas Landfill continues to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
Travel will be required to and from Loraas Landfill.
Other duties as assigned.
Hours of work will be Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic and ability to work carefully and efficiently independently
Experience in the customer service profession is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn a variety of tasks
Adequate computer skills and the ability to multitask
Valid class 5 license with clean drivers abstract as well as own reliable transportation to and from Landfill.
As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test prior to their their hiring date. A criminal record check will also be required.
