Manage large medical office and perform all financial bookkeeping. Must have good oral and written communication skills, self-motivated and be able to deal with complaints and maintain composure. Must have at least 3 years experience with bookkeeping, payroll, human resources, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Medical terminology and typing skills would be an asset.
ACCOUNTING DUTIES (included but not limited to):
- payroll/T4 slips for 50 individuals
- medical billing
- medical submissions/returns from MCIB
- G/L, AR, AP transactions in Quickbooks
- obtain financial information from EMR system
- bank deposits
- reconciling cash daily
- pay bills
- bank reconciliation
- year end preparation
EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT (included but not limited to):
- Interview potential new staff
- Supervise departmental staff/managers
- On line doctor's schedule
- Handle patient complaints
OFFICE MANAGEMENT (included but not limited to):
- Regular meetings with clinic owner and department managers
- Deal with third party vendors and property management
- Maintain inventory
