THE ORGANIZATION
Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC) improves the quality of life of First Nations through mutually beneficial partnerships with community organizations and industry. Opportunities for improved living are accessed through programs and services in health, safety, economic development, education, and financial investments in the broader community. Acting as a representative body for seven First Nations, STC delivers programs and services to those living in member communities and Saskatoon.

THE POSITION
Saskatoon Tribal Council/STC Health & Family Services Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead the Nutrition Services as part of the Community Health and Home Care teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, deliver and evaluate community nutrition programs for the six First Nation communities served by the Saskatoon Tribal Council;
* Provide holistic, client-centered individual counseling and group education applying evidence-based nutrition practice;
* Responsible for coordination, program delivery and reporting for the Canada Prenatal Nutrition program;
* Assists with planning and implementing the Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative program; and
* Promotes and supports nutrition and activity initiatives aimed at empowering youth from the six First Nation communities.

ASSETS
* Certified Diabetes Educator;
* Knowledge of and sensitivity around First Nations culture and traditions; and
* Ability to speak a First Nations language.
