Jr. Accountant
North Prairie Developments is seeking a Jr. Accountant to join our growing team. The Jr. Accountant will provide support to the Controller and perform general accounting functions including banking transactions, payroll, job cost reviews, month-end and variance reporting.

Main Responsibilities:
    Prepare and deposit all cash and cheques
    Post mortgage draws
    Prepare posting reconciliation sheets and post sales transactions
    Administer payroll
    Process and reconcile all lease payments
    Reconcile and issue equity statements for investment companies
    Prepare monthly financial statements including project costing and work-in-progress reports
    Assist with month-end processes and filing monthly returns
    Assist with interest and tax calculations
    Prepare conveyances
    Reconcile job costs actual to budget
    Complete monthly variance reporting

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree/diploma and 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience. Managing priorities and meeting deadlines is critical in this role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people are also important. Experience with Sage, Timberline, and MS Office is required. Preference will be given to those candidates pursuing a CPA designation.
