Westeel requires an Engineering Technologist to join our Agricultural Products Engineering team at our Saskatoon location in North Corman Industrial Park.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the incumbent will provide drafting and design support to the Saskatoon branch of Westeel. This requires a team player capable of working with management, production personnel and outside vendors.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain engineered drawings and database
Design and develop product through implementation of engineering changes
Liaise with customers, subcontractors and CSR to help solve day-to-day issues and ensure custom products meet required specifications
Create and maintain CNC program library; troubleshoot and update CNC hardware and Pronest software
Create, maintain, and enter data regarding bills of materials, routings, and part numbers in SAP
Liaise regularly with production department, scheduling, R&D, and sales personnel
Qualifications:
Strong background in Solidworks; ability to create drawings on the AutoCAD program; knowledge and experience with 3D modeling.
Strong experience with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to interpret complex drawings and spatial concepts/relations.
