Job Description: The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is a unique opportunity to provide collaborative leadership in enhancing patient and family centred standards and partnerships in the delivery of cancer programs and services.   In partnership with senior leaders, and operating in a complex and dynamic health care environment, the successful candidate is an innovative, collaborative and transformational leader with a deep commitment to high quality health services and research.


Reporting to the Board of Directors the CEO provides operational leadership to the Agency by reaffirming and communicating the Agency's strategic vision and direction, with a heightened focus on execution and emphasis on active participation of all Agency leaders and teams.  


The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency's mission is to provide leadership in cancer control for the people of Saskatchewan through prevention, early detection, treatment and research. With a Vision of a healthy population free from cancer.

You are a strategic Leader who:


Has extensive and relevant experience in a senior leadership role with a proven track record of success in a complex, dynamic organization.  15+years in management/administration, with at least 5 of those years as a Senior Executive in a health care environment

Has experience collaborating with a Board to fulfill its governance functions, evaluating the Agency's performance in relation to its strategic direction

Is a proven strategic leader who clearly communicates mission, vision and strategy and charts path forward

Mobilizes people, inspiring and setting the example for over 830 staff and physicians as well as other health care stakeholders
