Metis Family and Community Justice Services of Saskatchewan Inc. (MFCJS) is a justice and family services non-profit organization.

Metis Family and Community Justice Services of Saskatchewan Inc. is currently seeking to fill the position of a Saskatoon Community Justice Worker.  The Saskatoon Community Justice Worker will be responsible for the provision of adult alternative measures.

Qualified Candidates must:
-Have a degree and/or knowledge in the justice field or equivalent of (3) years experience in the area of justice;
-Have a sound knowledge of Alternative measures/Restorative Justice;
-Provide a recent Criminal Records Check with application;
-Possess excellent communication skills, writing skills and the ability to work independently;
-Have knowledge to develop a work plan for the implementation of community based justice programs
-Be able to produce newsletters, pamphlets and other documents to provide information to athe Saskatoon Metis community for public awareness
-Hold a valid driver's license
-Provide (1) character reference and (3) previous employment references

Hours of Work:  17.5 hours per week for month of October and November; full time after November 2017

Training will be provided in the areas of alternative measures and restorative justice and according to the Saskatchewan Justice Training Schedule.

Monthly salary: $1500.00 per month at half-time hours; starting at full time $2800.00 per month
