Description

SRC is looking for a Team Lead for the Light and Tight oil recovery team. The focus of the team is to develop cutting edge solutions for the operational and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) challenges associated with light and tight oil reservoirs, such as the Bakken and Viking. You will work closely with the other division business units and teams of engineers, scientists and technologists. You will assist our clients with improving their operations using state-of the-art laboratory and analytical equipment to conduct process design, evaluation and optimization.

Responsibilities
    Lead a team of scientists, engineers and technologists with providing solutions to industry for the efficient and economic development of light and tight oil reservoirs
    Lead the development of new and/or improved recovery processes for light and tight oil reservoirs
    Lead the teams business development efforts to maintain and acquire new clients
    Conduct and/or provide oversight for projects, preparation of proposals, communication with clients, delivery of presentations and writing of project reports
    Conduct and/or provide oversight for reservoir numerical modelling studies

Qualifications and Skills
    Advanced degree in chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, chemistry or physics, or other relevant areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    A minimum of 5-10 years of experience working with light or tight oil reservoirs
    Experience and demonstrated capability to lead teams of engineers and/or scientists
    Good understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment related to reservoir fluid and core analysis, and physical modelling of improved and/or enhanced oil recovery processes
    Excellent skills in mathematics and physics, and an interest in applied research activities and methods
