Working out of the head office in Humboldt, SK, we are currently recruiting for a Journeyman Carpenter. Travel will be required for this position.
Responsibilities include:
Completion of centrally delivered facility management projects, including truss repairs
Ensure that all work is of high quality and meets codes and professional standards, including obtaining all required permits
Perform planned maintenance based on requests and provide emergency response to system, equipment, or structural problems
Provide support to the Facilities Management Department
Skill to operate all required tools/equipment safely
Comply with all Biosecurity and Animal Welfare protocols
Supervise/mentor apprentices, maintain a safe work environment & ensure apprentice follows safe work processes
Leave all work sites clean and tidy
Attend centrally organized training programs
Other duties as required
Education and experience required:
Journeyman Carpenter
Ability to work independently, be safety conscious, and self starter
Effective time management skills
Hold a valid drivers license
Transportation/Travel Information
- Willing to travel regularly
- Valid driver's licence
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Carpenter Red Seal Endorsement
