You will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Associates with the day to day maintenance of the properties, including the cleanliness and upkeep of the grounds, repairs and maintenance to the buildings and the units.
You must have:
Minimum Grade 12 education
Fluency in oral and written English
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs
Ability to lift 50 lbs of supplies and equipment
Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
Familiarity with operational features of fire alarm and security systems
Knowledge of building codes and safety standards
Specific Maintenance Activities
- Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on appliances
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
- Repair drywall
- Work with minimal supervision
