Sakimay First Nations is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to provide office administrative support to the Administrative Center.
Receptionist Clerk is an administrative support position that is clerical support to the Administration staff at the Sakimay First Nation Administrative Center, who is supervised on a daily basis by the Director of Operations. The Receptionist shall be responsible for recording and taking messages, answering and operating the phone system, maintaining the daily itinerary of staff, mail and fax distribution, maintaining the central filing system, as well as other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have at least six (6)months experience in general office procedures and Grade 12 education would be an asset.
- Possess considerable knowledge of effective office procedures, techniques; file maintenance & data processing potential
- Have ability to type minimum 30 wpm with basic understanding of operation of computer and software
- Be familiar with basic office equipment - fax, photocopier, postage etc.
- Be able to maintain central filing system
- Have sound knowledge of how First Nations administration is operated
- Have excellent communication skills dealing with the general public - Chief and Council, subsidiary entities, fellow employees &, most importantly community membership
- Possess ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision
- Be well organized, punctual, dependable & reliable and ensure confidential matters remain confidential
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screening upon application
