Duties and responsibilities:
-Preparing full menu food;
-Make special order or request food items;
-Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions; and
-Give instructions to kitchen helpers and other junior staff in the kitchen.
Specific Skills
-Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.);
-Work with minimal supervision;
-Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions;
-Manage kitchen operations;
-Plan menus; and
-Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
Employment requirements
-Completion of post-secondary education.
-1-2 years of experience in cooking are required.
