Jr. Geologist, Mine
Cigar Lake, SK
POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with Cigar Lakes mine geology group, your duties will include diamond drill core logging, radiometric probing, delineation surveys, underground mapping, computerized data management and data QA/QC. You will also be responsible for updating geological interpretations with the latest geological information and working with various stakeholders to update 3D geological models of the ore body.
There are two positions available.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in geology or geological engineering
Up to three years of relevant geological experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Safety-oriented work attitude
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Previous experience with exploration or in a mine geology work environment
Vulcan experience
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewans North.
