Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

1)Project managers ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job properly. Project managers oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.
2)This position is required to work in both an office and site setting.
3)This position interacts with sub-contractors, superintendents, owners, and consultants on a day-to-day basis.
4)This position reports to the Construction Manager

DUTIES

1)Work directly with assisting Superintendents, Subcontractors, Consultants and Owners
2)Learn and promote Wright Construction policies and procedures
3)Scheduling of deliveries, meetings, subcontractor work
4)Maintain up-to-date logs (RFIs/Changes/Submittals)
5)Light estimating
6)Research solutions to conflicts and interferences
7)Procurement of project close-out documentation
8)Attend project meetings
9)All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

1)Architectural Technologist Diploma or equivalent
2)5 years experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional construction is an asset
3)Knowledge of all phases of building construction
4)Strong verbal and written communication skills
5)Time management skills
6)Ability to read blueprints and specifications for building
7)Ability to work as part of a team
8)Experience in the following beneficial, but not required:
a)Microsoft Office Products
b)Timberline Software
c)BIM Software
d)AutoCAD
9)Experience with Estimating and Project Scheduling are preferred but not required
