FULL TIME HOME SUPPORT WORKER/CAREGIVER (36 HOURS/ WEEK) REQUIRED FOR A PHYSICALLY DISABLED ADULT FEMALE NEEDING ASSISTANCE WITH ALL DAILY PERSONAL CARE, INCLUDING BATHING, PERSONAL HYGIENE, TOILETING, DRESSING, TRANSFER TO WHEELCHAIR, ASSIST IN FEEDING. HOUSEHOLD DUTIES INCLUDES ROUTINE HOUSEKEEPING SUCH AS DUSTING, VACUUMING, AND LAUNDRY. WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO DO MEAL PREPARATION, WASHING DISHIES AND MAKING BEDS, MUST BE ABLE TO ACCOMPANY EMPLOYER FOR GROCERY SHOPPING AND APPOINTMENTS. REQUIRED SOMEONE WHO IS COMPASSIONATE, PATIENT, CARING WITH GOOD FAMILY VALUES AND A NON-SMOKER. A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH CLEAN DRIVER'S ABSTRACT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION AND MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR RELATED EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING & CPR CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED. THIS POSITION IS GIVEN PREFERENCE TO CANADIANS, NEW IMMIGRANTS, VISIBLE MINORITIES AND ABORIGINALS.
RATE OF PAY IS $15.00/HOUR. ANY HOURS IN EXCESS OF 40 HOURS PER WEEK WILL BE PAID AT 1.5 TIMES THE REGULAR RATE.
ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE AT NO CHARGE ON A LIVE IN BASIS.
