The FNSSP Numeracy Consultant is responsible to develop and implement the program related to math, student math assessment tools, and performance measurement systems in conjunction with the supervisor and school principals. In addition, the consultant provides relevant information, coordinates related training, and makes relevant implementation and monitoring tools available to the schools.
The ability to speak one of the PAGC languages will be an asset.
Qualifications:
- B-ed, M-ed
- LEADS qualified
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and computer skills
- Must provide a Valid Drivers License
- Must provide a current satisfactory criminal record check or a proof that it has been applied for.
- Experience working with First Nations Education
- Must have experience with reporting AANDC forms
- Ability and experience working with First Nations leadership
- Comprehensive knowledge of current school and student performance measurement indicators, data collection, and management systems in elementary or secondary schools;
- Expertise in measuring school and student performance using data collection and management system at elementary or secondary levels;
- Experience developing and implementing work plans.
- Experience in preparing reports and submitting progress reports;
- Familiarity with the PAGC communities
- Ability to travel to and work in PAGC communities and schools.
- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
