Description

There are two positions available in multiple locations; Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw or Prince Albert.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Database Administrator is highly skilled in the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Saskatchewan Polytechnics enterprise database architecture. Senior Database Administrators have a high degree of expert knowledge in technologies related to enterprise relational database management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) ecosystems.
This position is relied upon to provide expert technical guidance, direction and instruction to projects, management, team members and clients.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum two year diploma from a recognized institution in Information Technology (foreign education must have Canadian equivalency certification) or an equivalent combination of recent and relevant education, training and experience.
2. Five years of progressive experience within an enterprise information technology environment in the areas of database administration, ERP ecosystem administration, or relational database application development.
3. Demonstrated advanced knowledge in enterprise database administration techniques, principles and practices, and tools.
4. Demonstrated advanced knowledge in administrating enterprise ERP applications and ecosystems.
5. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of relational database objects, structured query language, and data manipulation methods.
6. Effective analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
7. Creative thinking with abstract thought, and the ability to translate business needs and requirements into technically innovative solutions.
8. Effective interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
