Process Plant Constructors Ltd (PPCL), a subsidiary of Propak Systems Ltd, is a leader in oil and gas process plant construction and general mechanical construction projects.
PPCL is currently seeking Instrumentation Technicians for its projects near Lloydminster, SK.
PPCL offers a 14-and-7 day schedule, 10-hour dayshifts with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and attractive Living Out Allowance (LOA) to those eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult manufacturers manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and other variables in manufacturing and processing;
Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and prevision measuring instruments;
Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts;
Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers specifications;
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports;
Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes;
Install instrument air lines complete with valves;
Consult with and advise process operators.
Qualifications:
Apprentice or Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician status
Inter-Provincial Red Seal certificate is preferred
1-2 years of directly related work experience
CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification
OSSA-approved Fall Arrest certification
OSSA-approved Aerial Work Platform certification
H2S Alive may be required
