FCL invites applications for the position of Web and Communications Writer in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Communications and Public Relations Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
1. Write, record, edit, design and proof content and visuals for FCLs web sites, social media and other corporate communications according to corporate standards and formats.
2. Serve as in-house support for the online experience.
3. Support overall growth of the corporate intranet, public websites and various social media vehicles.
4. Assist in the development of editorial, brand and web style, standards and formats.
5. Support contributing writers, content providers and local administrators.
6. Ensure content is aligned with FCLs vision, mission, values and business goals.
7. Handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
8. Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have a University degree (preferably in a communications related field) and 2 - 3 years of related experience working with social media tools, video-editing, web-editing software and web content management systems. Basic ability to capture photos, video and audio with experience in related editing software. Above average writing, editing, proofing and creative skills.
