The Position:
The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing, testing, and delivering satellite resource planning and management systems. These systems use complex mathematical models and algorithms to analyze satellite network performance, to plan and optimize the allocation of network resources and to present results through sophisticated graphical user interfaces featuring real-time updates and complex data visualizations. System Engineers / Designers are involved in all phases of projects, including capturing customer requirements, performing system design and analyses, performing verification testing, and installing systems at sites located all over the world.
The Person:
This position will be of interest to candidates with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Engineering Physics. A Masters degree is considered an asset. Applicants must have good oral and written communications skills and be willing to travel.
Experience in the following areas is considered an asset:
Analysis tools such as Matlab;
Scripting tools such as Python;
Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Visio
Programming languages such as C, C++, or Java; and,
RF test and measurement equipment.
