Working in conjunction with the other members of Westeels petroleum sales group, this position is part of a team responsible for the overall growth of the Westeel/AGI petroleum market. The Petroleum BDM will be active in sales and business development activities and will work with a team of outside sales representatives and inside business and sales support staff. To be successful, the Petroleum BDM must:
Identify key industry players
Work within the confines of an existing business unit while developing greenfield markets and products
Strategically develop several cohesive business plans for a diverse range of products and markets
Work within budget parameters set out by the Business Manager
Work within margin targets set out by the Business Manager
Develop distribution and channel partners that result in consistent monthly revenue and reliable year over year revenue growth
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Increase the sales of existing petroleum business products including:
o Horizontal fuel tanks
o Vertical fuel tanks
o Custom and rectangular tanks
Assist in developing a sales plan for in-development and newly released steel fuel tanks
Execute on a sales plan for new petroleum markets
Execute on sales plan for existing, underserved petroleum markets
Work with Business Manager on planning and execution to increase sales to strategic national accounts
Evaluate existing distribution and channel partners and identify gaps in our market reach
Identify and close new distribution and channel partners
Evaluate existing products and identify gaps in our product offering
Actively participate in all sales related activities required to execute the business plan
Work with other Westeel/AGI sales team members to find common customers and markets, and develop cost effective yet effective ways to pitch Westeel/AGI products to those customers
