Job Description: Reports to the Director Human Resources & Employee Services and provides labour relations support to managers through activities such as grievance handling, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, policy development and interpretation, research and consultation regarding Labour Relations. Directly responsible for the development & management of effective recruitment services, both internal and external. Will ensure current legislation, policies; Collective Agreements and immigration requirements in regard to employment are adhered to.
Experience
Undergraduate Degree in Human Resource Management, Marketing, Labour Relations or a related field; or a Human Resources post-secondary program; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in successfully resourcing difficult to hire disciplines, such as nurses, therapists etc. would be an asset.
Previous Human Resource experience, preferably in a role where knowledge and understanding of workforce planning, recruitment and labour relations in a unionized healthcare environment and need for a Representative Workforce is critical to this position.
Preferably 3-5yrs work experience in a Human Resource department with recruiting and /or labour relations responsibilities.
Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
