Assistant Foreman  Permanent Full-Time

The Town of LeRoy is accepting applications for the position of permanent full-time Assistant Foreman.  The Assistant Foreman is responsible for aiding in the maintenance of the publicly owned buildings and grounds, roadways and right of ways, maintenance equipment and vehicles and other duties as assigned by the Town Foreman including rotational weekend supervision of the Town Water and Sewer facilities. In the summer months, shifts are typically Monday to Friday.  During the winter months, evening and weekend shifts are a regular part of the position with duties including operation, light cleaning and maintenance at the LeRoy Community Centre.  A comprehensive benefits package is provided as well as on the job training and professional development are available.
The successful applicant must possess a minimum Grade 12/GED, a valid Class 5 driver's license. Experience in the operation and maintenance/repairs of municipal equipment including tractors, sweepers, mowers and/or ice resurfacing machines would be an asset.  Certification from the Operator Certification Board: Class II Water Treatment, Class I Water Distribution, Waste Water Treatment & Waste Water Collection OR willing to work toward certification requirements.
