The management Team oversees the daily operations and running of the Coteau Range Manor. They report to the Coteau Range Manor Board on a regular basis.
Provide quality health care to resident, including the supervision of care provided by all caregivers. The care is planned to meet physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs.
Qualifications:
Knowledge in principals and philosophy of long term care and experience in long term care ( min 1 year) is essential.
Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
Ability to supervise and direct the work of the caregivers
Demonstrate concern and interest in providing quality care to residents
Able to work independently and as a team.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, family and board
DUTIES
Admissions and discharges
Contacts made with family members
Hiring/ dealing with/ disciplining staff
Planning activities/working with Activates Person, Volunteers, and attending meetings
Scheduling/directing staff
Ordering groceries
Ordering of other supplies: paper products, resident's needs, cleaning supplies
Planning staff meetings
Planning in-service/ staff training sessions
Notify maintenance of jobs that need to be done
Dealing with meal plans and issues which arise from kitchen
Dealing with quality control issues: freezer/cooler temps, fire extinguishers, OHS
Requirements
Special Care Aide (minimum requirement) as per 30 bed needs to have 1 on staff. (5 hours a day/ 5 days a week minimum)
TLR, OHS, and WHIMIS
Medication Course
Criminal Record Check/ Vulnerable Persons
Basic or Standard First Aid Certificate
Food Services Sanitation Certificate
Personal Care home Orientation Workshop Certificate
Minimum 1 year long term care experience
Basic Computer Skill, when required by the job
Valid Drivers Licence, when required by the job
