Description

An employee-owned, Canadian company, Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the industrial, buildings, water, infrastructure, transportation, and environmental sectors in SK.

We are currently searching for a Structural CADD Technologist to cover a one-year leave of absence for our Regina office.

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities, you will be working with a team on the design and drafting of multi-discipline, industrial, municipal, and select commercial related projects. Typical elements of modeling and drafting include timber, concrete, reinforcing steel and structural steel, for the purposes of building foundations, building structures, and building assemblies and bridge-related projects. Some field/site work will be required.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or Architectural Technologies-Building Science.
- A.Sc.T. designation or eligible for membership with SASTT.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in computer-aided drafting.
- Significant knowledge with structural and building work.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and related Autodesk products.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software is an asset.
- Knowledge of the National Building Code, CAS, and CICS.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proven technical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines/schedules.
- Field and construction inspection experiences are assets.
