Early Childhood Educator
The USSU Childcare Centre, which provides care for children aged 6 months to 6 years of age, has been in operation on the University of Saskatchewan campus since 1992 and has recently expanded its operations from 66 childcare spaces to 156 spaces. The USSU Childcare Centres include the Williams Building location as well as a newly constructed facility in McEown Park, adjacent to Souris Hall on the University of Saskatchewan campus.
We are hiring an ECE position for our McEown location. The Early Childhood Educators primary duty is to provide quality care in all areas of development in order to maintain the well-being of each child in the Centre.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Complete supervision of children, including monitoring of development in all areas
Program planning, organizing and implementation
Maintaining current certification in First Aid
Maintain an open, communicative relationship with parents and co-workers at all times
Ensure the Centre has a loving, caring, and visually appealing atmosphere
Training & Qualifications:
ECE III
Bachelor of Education with ECE III equivalency
Valid First Aid/CPR
A Canadian Police Reference Check
Language Benchmark Level 7+
Starting Wage: $19.08/hr with employer-paid Benefits and Pension Plan available after 3 months probation is completed. Monthly EDO day.
