Description

Sr. Specialist, Inventory
Saskatoon, SK

POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will monitor, track and assist in the management of saleable uranium inventories of Cameco and its subsidiaries to ensure the strategic placement, delivery and utilization of such inventories for maximum financial benefit. You will also be responsible for compiling and reconciling summary and detailed monthly inventory reports to be distributed to multiple departments and senior management and for coordinating the successful movement of inventory by liaising with production and receipt facilities.  You will prepare forecasts of anticipated future inventory stocks based on planned production, inventory acquisitions and sales information from the revenue forecast.  The successful candidate will utilize SAP for inventory tracking. .

You will provide direction to the marketing department by analyzing current and expected inventory levels, as well as present ideas and recommendations for optimizing inventory positions.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:
  -Bachelors degree in commerce, business administration, accounting or finance
  -Five to eight years relevant work experience
  -Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  -CPA designation
  -Superior problem-solving, analytical, reconciliation, data analysis and management skills
  -Demonstrated communication, team work, relationship building and organizational skills
  -Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced work environment    Assets:
  -Experience and knowledge of inventory management processes and systems is preferred
  -Experience in reconciling complex balances
  -Knowledge of the nuclear industry and understanding of the nuclear fuel cycle
  -Ability to analyze work processes and procedures and make recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  -SAP Experience in Sales and Distribution and Material Management
