Description

To provide Agronomy services to the Co-op customers, promoting the sales of all Agro product lines especially crop inputs including petroleum.

Agronomist
Develop and administer an aggressive farm contact program with present and prospective customers, promoting the services and product lines available at the Co-op.
a)    Provide information on seed, weed, disease and insect control so customers can make an informed decision.
b)    Provide field scouting as requested and provide information of findings to the customer.
c)    Administer and supervise the custom application service
d)    Manage all supplier programming to the benefit of growers and the Co-op.
e)    Accept that the hours of work will be dependent on the customers needs and at certain times throughout the year, work hours may include early mornings, late evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

Purchasing and Sales
a)    Meet set sales and margin budgets.
b)    Ensure all expenditures are necessary and within the approved budget and Co-op policy
c)    Responsible for pricing, price checks, sales, and inventory management of crop protection products, working with Retail Manager and FCL Crop Supplies Sales Co-ordinator.
d)    Purchase products with the Retail Manager, in a timely manner to maintain sales and yet maintain budgeted inventory levels and turns.
e)    Participate in and support Co-op Retailing System Programs

Qualifications
a)    Degree or Diploma in Agriculture preferred or CCA certification.
b)    Hold a valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence.
